Kazuhiro Okuda
Founder & CEOBased on my principles of "integrity and an international perspective," I continue to enhance a real estate business that connects people, cities, and the future.
Living my mission to remove language and business barriers that prevent international visitors and residents in Japan from signing rental contracts and making real estate transactions, I've supported many international customers in their search for homes and investment opportunities. I also provide cross-border real estate investment and corporate real estate strategy consulting, and expert opinions drawing on my extensive knowledge of domestic and international real estate markets.
As a real estate investor myself, I manage properties throughout Japan, primarily in Tokyo, but also in Tohoku, Kansai, and Okinawa. I also focus on practicing data-driven real estate management, and sharing information using multilingual marketing and social media analysis.
Born in Osaka, I entered the Kobe University School of Business Administration in 1989. While still a student, I established Hikari Home, incorporating the company in 1995. Over 30 years I've expanded this business to offer real estate brokerage, investment, and management services for customers in Japan and overseas.
In 2004, I completed a Master's in Management of Technology (MOT). In 2015, my study of international management and policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore inspired me to create a management structure with a global perspective.
In my personal life, I am married with a daughter who is a doctor, and two cats – one black and one white. I enjoy playing the piano, golf, onsens, international travel, and watching rugby, tennis, and F1.
